Law Enforcement Services Beyond Reproach
Chris Jones was appointed Constable of Montgomery County Precinct 5 on January 1, 2019 and became the duly elected Constable of the Precinct after winning the general election in 2020. Constable Chris Jones has been in law enforcement for over 24 years and possess a Master of Science in Criminal Justice Management and is certified as a Master Peace Officer. He began serving with the Precinct 5 Constable’s office in 1996, upon graduating from Sam Houston State University. During his tenure, he has held every position rising in rank from Reserve Deputy to Chief Deputy. Most recently, in 2018 he was appointed as Constable upon the retirement and recommendation of former Constable David Hill. In 2020 Constable Jones won in the Republican race for Constable of Precinct 5.
Constable Jones’s has been a long time resident of Montgomery County, where he graduated from Magnolia High School. He is a devoted and respected man with Christian principles, and understands the importance of providing a safe environment in which residents of his community are given the opportunity to live, grow and prosper. Working together with the community as a team, he knows we can make a difference and enhance the quality of life for all. He is a proud father of five children and enjoys hunting and spending time with his family and friends.
His leadership philosophy is to never ask his employees to do anything he has not already done, “law enforcement services beyond reproach”. He has always treated people respectfully and is committed to building and establishing relationships between his office and the residents of his community. His values include efficiency and professionalism, with the goal of treating all members of the public with integrity, courtesy and fairness while maintaining and growing relationships within our community.
